La-Ley-08-300x200

La Ley  will take their talents to Los Cabos, during the Gastronomy & Wine Festival Sabor a Cabo 2014, where they will perform songs from their newest album, “RETOUR,” including hit singles “Mentira,” “El Duelo,” “Mi Ley y Surazul,” and international hit “OLVIDAR,” currently top ranked on the Latin Pop Billboard Charts.
As leaders of the innovative genre of Chilean rock and the groundbreaking acoustics born from their “MTV Unplugged” album in 2001, La Ley re-introduces their eclectic spin as one of the pillars of Spanish pop rock stage.
La Ley’s contribution to the Latin rock genre is truly unique. In addition to being the only Chilean group to win a Grammy in the United States for their “MTV Unplugged” album, La Ley has won two Latin Grammys and received MTV’s acclaimed “Better Band of Rock” title. The band’s release of the “UNO” album in 2000 led to the music group’s Grammy for “Best Album of Alternative Latin Rock,” along with four Latin Grammy nominations and two “Lo Nuestro” awards for “Best Rock Album.” La Ley’s latest album “RETOUR” takes their fans back in time to their original sounds that catapulted the band to Latin American rock leaders.

Christine Jensen was born in Sechelt, British Columbia, in 1970, growing up in Nanaimo among
some of Canada’s finest musicians, including Phil Dwyer, Diana Krall, blues guitarist, David Gogo, and her sister Ingrid. Her pianist/mother raised her daughters on music, exposing them to everything from Chopin to Broadway to Big Bands. Jensen’s first love was the piano, developing an individual style influenced by two greats: “I freaked out over Oscar Peterson and … Bill Evans was a big epiphany when I was a teenager, as a musician who created an impressionistic sound.” Once she started studying the saxophone at age 12, she quickly grew to love it as she realized that she could create her own voice through that instrument
